Taiwan SPCA在這個月有件比較”特別”的案件.有民眾檢舉某飼主讓狗狗乘坐在機車後座並在車流量大的道路行駛,該舉動非常危險.
近年來,有許多飼主喜歡訓練狗狗一些奇怪的才藝.其中一項就是訓練狗狗坐機車後座,可想而知在路上會吸引多少民眾的目光.許多民眾看到就說”好厲害,好可愛,好聰明”等讚美.
但請大家想想,要是狗狗看到路邊的貓,跳車追貓時會發生什麼事呢?又要是主人緊急剎車,狗狗掉下去時怎麼辦?會發生什麼事呢?狗狗會被車撞死?還是狗會撞到後面的機車,害人摔車?平衡不好的狗,摔下車的話呢?難道是狗狗”天生”就會坐機車,還是是飼主”後天訓練”出來的呢?
台北市動保處回應,當民眾看到這種情形時,請民眾照下飼主的車牌號碼,並提供給相關政府單位,動保處將會約談飼主並提供”行政指導”,告知飼主此舉動非常危險,不只易使狗狗受傷更可能會危害別人.
Taiwan SPCA在此呼籲大眾,請勿訓練任何寵物進行這種危險的才藝,不只對寵物很危險,有天更有可能造成別人受傷.
The Taiwan SPCA had an interesting investigation case this month. We received a report from a member of the public that there was a dog being allowed to ride on the backseat of his owner’s scooter on heavily trafficked roads. This act is extremely dangerous.
Many owners have been training their dogs to do unusual tricks in recent years, one of those tricks is training their dogs to sit on the back seat of scooters. Obviously, it can attract the public’s attention, and many people might say to them, “it is so amazing, so adorable or your dog is so smart”.
But please think carefully, what would happen if the dog saw a cat on the street and jumped off the scooter to chase him? Or if the owner slammed on the brakes and the dog fell from the scooter? Would the dog be hit by a car? Or, would he be hit by the scooter behind him and cause the driver to fall off? What if the dog lacked a good sense of balance and fell from the scooter? So, is it that the dog has a natural ability to sit on a scooter or is it only because of the training given by their owners?
According to the Taipei City Animal Protection Office, if the public sees a situation like this, please take a photo of the owner’s license plate and give it to your local authorities. The Animal Protection Office will then arrange to talk with the dog’s owner and let them know that it is extremely dangerous and not only puts your dog in a risky situation but also other people too.
The Taiwan SPCA appeals to the public, Please do not teach any dangerous tricks to your pets. It is not only hazardous to your pets, but also increases the possibility of hurting other people.
